A web series to bring the tar sands home

A pilgrimage is a journey, especially a long one, made to a sacred place as an act of devotion. When we decided to cycle 1100-miles from the Pacific Northwest to the tar sands of Alberta, Canada – the third largest reserves of crude oil in the world – we couldn’t have predicted what we would learn and see, who we would meet, or what it would mean.

The Road to Athabasca is launching a new web series, to share stories from our bicycle pilgrimage and interviews with First Nations people, biologists, activists, pipeline workers, and every day citizens. Check out the trailer, and subscribe to our YouTube Channel to get updates as we release new episodes on our journey along the Trans Mountain Pipeline.
